A rare, early 10ft two piece split cane Avon with 24" full cork handle with "onion" end, black anodised aluminium sliding winch fittings & threaded tapered butt cap with red rubber button, reinforced brass splint end suction ferrules (nice snug fit), rosewood ferrule stopper (slightly damaged), Aqualite butt & tip guides, chrome "full-open" low cradle intermediates, ruby red concentric whippings. The tip ring has been replaced at some time, otherwise everything appears original and in very good condition. Supplied in original high quality partitioned canvas bag with hanging loop. Collectable & highly usable...

A high quality 12ft three piece Hollow Built split cane rod made to a high standard. 22" full cork handle with "Autolock" sliding aluminium screw winch fitting, threaded tapered aluminium butt cap with large red rubber button, bronzed brass splint end suction ferrules, genuine agate butt & tip guides, chrome "Low Bells" intermediates and green whippings. All rings & fittings appear original although the agate tip& butt rings have been re-fitted at some time. A well ballanced yet powerful rod suitable for chub, barbel, tench etc. Very good usable condition and supplied in good quality partitioned cloth bag from the same period.
