Recent additionGarcia Mitchell 710 Automatic Fly Reel & Spare Spool (French made, circa 1970s)
3¼" diameter with trigger-operated clockwork retrieve which is wound up automatically when line is pulled from reel (can also be wound up manually to increase power). Features include a ceramic line guide and a slipping clutch to prevent breakage of line or clockwork mechanism. Ambidextrous design. Fitted with WF8S Wet Cel II sinking line & braided terylene backing. The spare spool is fitted with a ST9S Wet Cel IV extra fast sink shooting head and hollow braided nylon backing and is complete
with its original transparent spool case. Very good condition. Supplied with photo-copy of page 18 from 1972 Mitchell catalogue illustrating this reel....

Recent addition2 Shakespeare Beaulite Salmon Spare Spools (English made, circa 1980s)
2 x standard width Shakespeare Beaulite spare spools 4.25" diameter and 15/16" between plates. Manufactured by J W Young & Sons Ltd., and marketed by Shakespeare the reels were sold as the "Beaulite Salmon". The spools are 4.25" diameter and have an internal width of 15/16" between plates and will only suit Beaulite Salmon reels with a spindle diameter of 5/16". Fitted with Hardy Double Taper #10 Slow Sink & Fast Sink lines, both of which appear to be unused.
