Davenport & Fordham (London) 9ft 6in “THE IVENS RAVENSTHORPE ROD” (circa 1960s)

A state-of-the-art 1960s two piece split cane reservoir rod built to a very high specification with “staggered ferrule” split cane blanks, bronzed nickel silver splint end suction ferrules, Pezon & Michelle hard chrome butt guide, low cradle intermediates & Aqualite lined tip, screw-up anodised aluminium screw winch fitting (recessed into cork grip) with threaded rubber button and complete with 7" wooden ferrule stopper (to protect the over-length top section while in storage or transit). Suitable for #7 or #8 lines. A rare rod in very good usable condition...

Custom built two piece graphite reservoir/sea-trout fly rod built from Hardy Fibatube "Graphite Carbon Fibre" part-built kit with up-locking screw reel seat and Fuji guides throughout. The blank has a low maintenance "put-over" ferrule-less spigot joint and is identical to rods of the period bearing the Hardy name. Very good usable condition complete with partitioned cloth bag...
