Totally different to the 'traditional' Mitchells, the specification of this high-tech version includes a patented tangle-free line control system, folding handle, 5 ball bearings, balanced rotor, elliptic oscillation, rigid carbon bail with anti-twist line roller, 'infinite' anti-reverse, quick-change 'Concept' spools, 5:1 gear ratio etc. Complete with 4 spare spools in Mitchell spool pouch. French made Garcia Mitchell 408. The smallest Mitchell designed for light freshwater fishing. Similar to 308 but high-speed Gleason gearing and distinctive dark blue finish. Other features same as 308/Prince: push-button spools, ball bearings in rotor, “Planamatic” wind, one-piece bail with tungsten line guide and folding handle with shaped knob. Trotting enthusiasts should note that the bail rotates in the opposite direction to most other 300 & 400 series Mitchells thereby bringing the line to the inside of your forefinger when trotting - much better! Some paint loss but mechanically perfect and complete with spare spool...
