Mitchell 308A. The smallest Mitchell designed for light freshwater fishing. Similar to 308 with high speed (5:1) gearing and ball bearings in rotor but with hardened line roller, graphitre spool and longer handle with flat paddle knob. Trotting enthusiasts should note that the bail rotates in the opposite direction to most other 300 & 400 series Mitchells thereby bringing the line to the inside of your forefinger when trotting - much better! Shimano SUPER AERO MATCH 4000 (circa 1999)

A modern high quality Japanese made reel. Specification includes graphite body, rear drag, 'Dyna Balance', silent anti-reverse, 'Power Roller' line roller, quick-release large-capacity long-nosed tapered skirted spool, stainless steel sealed ball bearings, long-life bail spring, 'Bio Grip' stem, folding handle, high speed 6.2:1 gear ratio. It seems to be in the wrong box but is in excellent condition throughout. In spite of the 'Match' classification the spool is large capacity and would make an excellent general purpose casting reel, particularly when long-range fishing...
