James Aspindale & Sons SPEYDALE DE LUXE 9ft Spinning Rod (Made in Redditch c.1960s)

Aspindale (Dalesman brand) 9ft "Speydale De Luxe" spinning rod with full cork handle, Autolock sliding winch fitting, tapered & threaded aluminium butt cap with screw-in rubber button, Agatine lined butt & tulip tip ring, chromed intermediates, bronzed brass reinforced splint end suction ferrules with matching brass ferrule stopper, Hardy LRH-style copper wire reinforced whippings on ferrules and lower foot of butt ring. Superb workmanship and every bit as good as Hardy's, if not better! Excellent condition in original partitioned cloth bag with embroidered badge. Designed for spring salmon spinning on the Spey but would be ideal for bait fishing for big carp and pike being of similar power to a stepped-up MkIV. A beautiful dead straight rod in near-mint condition...
